Vágar Airport (FAE)
One airport, one scheduled bus corridor. That makes the arrival simple, and makes the onward connections the part worth understanding before you land.

Take bus 300 from the terminal building. Eastbound it runs to the Tórshavn bus and ferry terminal; westbound it runs to Sørvágur, the port for the Mykines ferry. On weekdays, route 350 also calls at the airport and continues west past Sørvágur to Bøur.
Tourist Travel Cards are sold at the airport information centre and on board route 300, so you do not need to buy anything before you arrive.

The two routes
The airport bus. Route 300 links Tórshavn's bus and ferry terminal with Vágar Airport and continues to Sørvágur, the port for the Mykines ferry.
Not published as a weekday-only service, which is what makes it the connection to plan around.
The weekday extension west. Route 350 follows the same corridor as route 300 and continues beyond Sørvágur to Bøur, the closest published stop to Gásadalur.
Monday to Friday only, with a small number of trips each way. At weekends there is no published service west of Sørvágur.
Onward
If you land late
Scheduled departures thin out in the evening across the whole network. If your flight lands late, confirm the last route 300 departure against the official timetable before you rely on it, and have a fallback in mind — a pre-booked transfer or a taxi is a better plan than discovering the problem in the arrivals hall.
