Bus 300 towards Tórshavn, then route 400. SSL publishes a connection between the two at the Kollafjørður tunnel stop, but it requires prior notification — otherwise change in Tórshavn.

Getting back from Klaksvík
Klaksvík is far enough north that the last bus matters. If you have gone on to Viðareiði on route 500 or across to Kalsoy on the ferry, you are depending on two connections rather than one, so check the last departure of each before you set out.

What the operator publishes
- Route 400 is the all-week trunk service from Tórshavn; route 401 is the weekday express on the same corridor.
- Route 500 runs north from here to Viðareiði.
- Some route 400 departures start and end at the ferry port for Kalsoy, which saves a walk if the ferry is your onward connection.

Klaksvík in brief
Klaksvík is the second town of the Faroe Islands and the hinge of the northern network. Routes 400 and 401 arrive from Tórshavn; route 500 and the Kalsoy ferry leave from here.
