The part people forget
The boat operators set the sailing times, and the bus timetable is not built around them. Book the boat first, then work backwards to the bus — and check the last departure back to Tórshavn before you book an afternoon sailing.
Find the place
An approximate centre for the settlement. It is not a bus stop, a boarding point or a trailhead — check the operator's own stop names against the route page before you rely on it.

Once you are there
Vestmanna is the harbour on the west coast of Streymoy that the bird-cliff boat trips leave from, and it is one of the simplest destinations to reach from Tórshavn without a car.
Boat trips run out along the sea cliffs and into the caves north of the village.
The route passes Kvívík, where Viking-age house foundations sit beside the stream.
One bus each way and a boat in between makes this the most straightforward car-free excursion from the capital.

Worth a look for Saksun and for the west of Vágar at weekends, where no scheduled bus runs.
