Getting back from Nólsoy
Nólsoy is forgiving: the crossing is short and there are several sailings, so a missed boat is an inconvenience rather than a stranding. Sailings are still adjusted around holidays and St. Olaf's Days at the end of July, so check those dates specifically.

Nólsoy is the long low island you can see from Tórshavn harbour. The ferry takes a published 30 minutes and leaves from the middle of town, which makes it the lowest-friction island day trip in the Faroe Islands.
