- Kalsoy is small and the road is single-track through tunnels; the ferry and the island bus together are the plan, not a detail of it.

- Bus route 506 runs on Kalsoy itself between Syðradalur and Trøllanes, which is the end you want for the Kallur lighthouse.
- Klaksvík is reached from Tórshavn on bus route 400 or the weekday express 401, and some 400 departures start and end at this ferry port.
