Getting back from Gjógv
Book both directions in the same telephone call. A request service means there is no bus waiting in Gjógv for you to board on the way back, and the village is a long way from anywhere to walk out of.

- The routing is seasonal: the winter timetable runs via Funningur, the summer timetable via Eiði.

Gjógv takes its name from the natural gorge that serves as its harbour. The scheduled bus that reaches it, route 201, is a request service: every departure must be booked by telephone in advance.

The request telephone line operates between 07:00 and 20:00, so plan the call for the day before rather than the morning of an early departure. SSL requires the request at least two hours before departure, so a call made shortly before the bus is due is too late.
